Soil Quality

Soil Quality

Soil quality is defined by the intended use of the soil.  Soils in cropland have many uses, which may be more or less apparent.  The most apparent use is of course crop production.  However, all soils serve as water filters and regulators of water flow.  In general, soil quality in cropland field is defined by its capacity to produce crops and its impact on water quality and water flow regulation.
